GUITAR BY LOUIS PANORMO, LONDON, 1841.

Carries the original full Panormo label, numbered 1874  and dated 1841.

The letter "P" carved into the soundboard bar above the soundhole (see photo)

This is the typical smaller body size of the 1840's but has an experimental 8th fan bar, fitted to the treble side of the belly.

The guitar is fully restored and in fine playing condition in every respect. The frets, bridge and machines are all original.

The 2 nuts & bolts that secure the lower edge of the bridge are also original and patents for this technique survive. The constructional style inside this instrument strongly resembles that of the Thomas Hanbury guitar, as does the choice of timber and varnish.

This guitar is sold with a full restoration report and photographic documentation.
